How to Post A Message in a Discussion Board |
In this lesson you will learn how to post a message in a discussion board. Also you will learn how to reply to an earlier post.

Click on the Communications link.

You will be taken to a new new page, click on the Discussion Board link.

A new page will open up with a list of the message boards from your course, click on the heading of the Message board that is assigned.

A new area will open up, you can either start a new thread by clicking Add New Thread and that is basically for starting a new idea from which others will respond to what you have written. In this example we will reply to another post. You will click on the Title of the thread and it will open up a new dialogue area so you can read what has been written.

When the post has opened up you can choose to write a response to it by clicking on the Reply button.

The dialogue box that opens up looks and acts very similar to an email with the spell check, highlight, hyperlink and attach files capabilities.

After you are finished with your message click on the Submit button.
|
8. |
A new window opens up and you will be able to see the response that you have just submitted.
