Updating your E-mail Address

Your Blackboard account includes the e-mail address created by the University. If you do not intend to use this service, you need to update your account information. To change your e-mail address on Blackboard follow these steps:

1. Login to Blackboard 6.1
2. In the Tools module click on Personal Information. This will open the Personal Information screen.
   
   
   
3. On the Personal Information screen click on "Edit Personal Information". This will open the Edit Personal Information screen.
   
   
   
4. On the Edit Personal Information screen, select the current e-mail address and delete it.
   
   
   
5. Then type in the e-mail address where you would like to recieve emails from your instructors.
   
   
   
6. When you are finished typing your prefered e-mail address, scroll down and click the Submit button on the lower right corner.
   
   
   
7. Once you click submit, the Edit Personal Information screen will open and you will be able to see your updated e-mail address. Make sure that you have the correct e-mail address and then click on the OK button on the right of the screen.
