How to Post a Message Using the Virtual Classroom


In this lesson you will learn how to use the Message Tool in the Blackboard Virtual Classroom so you can communicate with other students in a real time chat.

1. After you are in the course click on the Communication link.

You will be taken to a new window, click on the Collaboration link.

3. You will be given a list of sessions to join, choose the one assigned by the instructor by clicking on the Join button.

4. A new window will open up, toward the bottom of the page there is a long strip which you can type in all of you message comments.

5. After you finish typing in the comment box, directly to the right click on the Send button.

6. You will know that you have posted a message in the Virtual Chat correctly because instantly you will see your message show up directly above the compose bar in black text with the time and date to the left.
